Yes! Our cakes are 100% dog-safe — your pup can eat the whole thing. Everything is hand-sculpted with all-natural, dog-safe ingredients, and we never use xylitol, grapes, or onions (common dog toxins). If your pet has a specific health condition or allergy, please check with your vet first.

We sure do! Alongside our dog cakes, we make custom cat celebration cakes and treats. Just tell us it’s for a cat when you reach out and we’ll design something perfect for your kitty.

Real, wholesome food! Depending on the item, our cakes are made from ingredients like chicken (or beef/turkey), sweet potato, potato, veggies such as broccoli and carrot, cheese, milk, goat-milk powder, and honey. Everything is baked fresh in small batches. Please note these are treats made for pets — they’re labeled for intermittent or supplemental feeding, not as a complete daily diet.

Great question. Most of our recipes contain dairy (milk and/or cheese — sometimes just trace amounts used for flavoring), several contain egg, and our cookies contain almond and coconut. When you place your order there’s a notes field to tell us about any allergies or ingredients to avoid, and we’ll let you know what we can adjust. If your pet has a serious allergy or health condition, please check with your vet about what’s safe.

Yes — and it’s actually very healthy! Our cakes are made from savory, real-food ingredients and are low in sugar. They’re formulated for pets, but they’re perfectly fine for a curious human to taste.

It starts with a photo of your pet! Send us a picture and tell us about the celebration, and we’ll hand-sculpt a cake to match. You can start your order by messaging us on Instagram @thepawpawcake, emailing help@pawpawcake.shop, or calling/texting 669-265-2818.

Because every cake is custom and baked fresh in limited quantities, please place your order at least 3 days ahead so we can save your date. Orders placed within 4 days (96 hours) of the pickup date may add a rush fee, and elaborate custom designs are best booked as early as possible.

Pricing depends on the cake type, size, and how detailed the design is. As a guide, our 5″ dog cakes start around: Spatula-Painted style $99, Fluffy Paw $129, Pet Portrait $159, and our signature 3D Pet-Topper cake $199, up to a Fully Customized cake at $299. Cat cakes start around $109. Cupcake sets (6–9 count) run about $129–$169, and treat boxes — Mini Puddings (20 ct), cheese treats, and fresh cookies — start around $40–$90. Larger sizes and add-ons (extra pet portrait +$50, extra 3D topper +$70, 6″ upgrade +$40, second color +$5) cost more. You’ll always get an exact quote when you order.

After we confirm the details of your order, we’ll send you an invoice — payment is by Zelle or Venmo (Venmo @thepawpawcake, Zelle to 669-265-2818). Full payment is required before we begin making your order.

We’re local pickup only in San Jose. If you can’t pick up in person, we also offer delivery via Uber for an additional fee — just ask and we’ll help arrange it.

Orders are picked up in San Jose, California. For everyone’s privacy and safety, we share the exact pickup address only after your order is paid and confirmed.

If something needs to change, please reach out as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate — but once we’ve started on your order, some changes may no longer be possible.
