How far in advance do I need to order?
Standard cakes require 3 days minimum. Custom/tiered cakes need 7–14 days. Wedding cakes should be booked 4–8 weeks ahead. Book early, especially during May–June and Oct–Dec.
Do you deliver or is it pickup only?
Currently pickup only from our San Jose location. Pickup is by appointment, scheduled at checkout. We send a reminder the day before.
What is your deposit policy?
Signature cakes require full payment at checkout. Custom tiered and wedding cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due at pickup.
Can I make changes after ordering?
Minor changes (name, message) are accepted up to 48 hours before pickup. Major design changes may not be possible once we have started. Contact us ASAP at help@pawpawcake.shop or 714-273-0172.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations 72+ hours before pickup: full refund minus deposit. Within 72 hours: non-refundable. To cancel, email or call us.
Do you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate some needs on a case-by-case basis — contact us before ordering. Our kitchen handles gluten, eggs, dairy, and nuts. We are not a certified allergen-free facility.
How do I store and transport my cake?
Keep refrigerated; transport flat on a stable surface. Serve at room temperature — remove from fridge 30–60 minutes before serving. Do not refrigerate fondant cakes.
Can I provide my own design photos?
Yes! Upload reference photos at checkout or include them with your custom quote request. The more detail you share, the better we can bring your vision to life.
Do you make pet portrait cakes for any pet?
Yes! Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters — we have done them all. The key is a clear, well-lit photo of your pet.
How do I order a wedding cake?
Fill out our Custom Quote Request with your date, venue, guest count, and design inspiration. We respond within 2 business days.
